Le Moyne College HEPP/Upward Bound Program Honored by 100 Black Men of Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … The Le Moyne College HEPP/Upward Bound Program will be honored by 100 Black Men of Syracuse at their Fourth Annual Honors Banquet on Friday, Dec. 2, at 6 p.m. The dinner will take place at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, 441 Electronics Parkway, in Liverpool, N.Y. The theme of the dinner is “Laying the Foundation for Tomorrow’s Leaders.”
According to Vincent Love, president of 100 Black Men of Syracuse, the banquet’s program will honor five organizations with a proven and distinguished track record of providing services and programs to local youth. The honors banquet is the group’s major fundraising event of the year and supports the organization’s youth, health and wellness, education and economic development programs.
Johnnie Hill-Marsh, director of HEPP/Upward Bound at Le Moyne, will accept the award. The Le Moyne program provides high school students with an intensive and challenging academic experience as they prepare for the transition from high school to college. Courses covered in the program include math, science, computer applications, personal growth, writing, composition and laboratory sciences.
