Le Moyne Team Places in Top Five Nationally In 2013 Collegiate Effie Advertising Contest

(Syracuse, N.Y.) FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE…  A team of three Le Moyne student has placed in the top five of the 2013 Collegiate Effie Advertising Competition. The Le Moyne entry – “Drink Less, Be More” – was submitted by the team of Kayla Lombardoni, Cara Greenslade, and Petra Novotna, who are in the Advertising Issues and Practices class taught by Ann Allen.

Modeled after the North American Effie competition, the Collegiate Effies gives participants a chance to create marketing communication cases that address real world challenges for marketers. The goal of this year’s competition was to underscores Heineken USA’s ongoing commitment to encourage responsible and legal alcohol consumption, for those who choose to drink. One goal of the competition was to highlight and reinforce the importance of both the strategic and creative process in the development of integrated public service messages."

For its success, Le Moyne College is now featured on the Effie Collegiate Challenge Facebook website. The other institutions in the top five were Baruch College, Kansas State University, Concordia University, St. Paul, and Iowa State University.
