New Orleans' Ongoing Recovery Topic of Le Moyne Event

<p>SYRACUSE, N.Y. (For Immediate Release) … The ongoing recovery of the devastated New Orleans region will be discussed at an event set for Thursday, April 24, at 7:30 p.m. in Grewen Auditorium at Le Moyne College. Sponsored by the Le Moyne student group Brothers of New Direction (B.O.N.D.), "SHhh Katrina SHhh: Still Hoping. Still Hurting" will feature information, images and first-person accounts from Le Moyne students and others who traveled to New Orleans over January break to help in the massive effort to rebuild the city.<br /> <br /> Among those speaking will be Norm Andrzejewski, coordinator of Central New York-based Operation Southern Comfort, which is dedicated to rebuilding the ravished region. Local representatives of Habitat for Humanity will also speak. Volunteers from these groups, along with 12 Le Moyne students, spent part of their January break in New Orleans.<br /> <br /> The purpose of the event is to raise awareness for the plight still facing the people of New Orleans.
