Le Moyne Again Recognized by U.S. News & World Report

(SYRACUSE, N.Y., For immediate release.) For the 18th consecutive year, Le Moyne has received national recognition for academic excellence through rankings compiled by U.S. News & World Report

In rankings released this morning, Le Moyne was ranked #19 in the "Comprehensive Universities – Master’s" category for the Northeast region. For the first time, Le Moyne was ranked on the "A+ Options for B Students" list, also in the "Comprehensive Universities  – Master's" category.

“This recognition is further proof that the efforts of everyone associated with Le Moyne are having a tangible and lasting impact on the quality academic experience our outstanding and dedicated faculty deliver, and that our students receive,” said President Fred Pestello, Ph.D.

“Rankings such as these are powerful tools for prospective students and their parents that are very influential in guiding them through their college search experience,” said Dennis DePerro, Ed.D., vice president for enrollment management.

According to the publication, institutions in the Comprehensive Universities category “provide a full range of undergraduate and master’s programs, but few, if any, doctoral programs.” A total of 572 institutions are included in this ranking category, from four geographic regions.

Le Moyne College is an independent, Jesuit institution offering a comprehensive program of liberal arts, sciences, pre-professional studies and graduate programs in education, business administration, nursing and physician assistant studies. Founded in 1946, Le Moyne’s 2,300 full-time undergraduates choose from 40 programs including majors in more than 30 areas of study, all of which emphasize the search for meaning and value in the intellectual life. Le Moyne is one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the U.S., and the only Catholic college in Central New York.
