Le Moyne was listed as number two in the “Regional Universities – North” category for its commitment to undergraduate teaching. In the description, institutions recognized were “… cited most often in the spring of 2010 by college presidents, provosts, and admissions deans who were asked to identify up to 10 schools in their U.S. News ranking category where the faculty has an unusual commitment to undergraduate teaching.”
“This recognition is a resounding reinforcement of our deep commitment to personal and innovative teaching, which is a hallmark of a Le Moyne education,” said Le Moyne Provost Linda LeMura, Ph.D. “The excellence our faculty bring to our students – inside and outside of the classroom – begins from the moment they set foot on campus. We are thrilled to be honored in this way.”
Le Moyne was also recognized in other categories:
• Number 17 in the overall “Regional Universities North” category, moving up two spots from last year’s listing.
• Number 6 in the Regional Universities North "Great Schools, Great Prices" list.
• Inclusion in the "A-Plus Schools for B-Students" listing for the Regional Universities North category.
“Looking at the entirety of our performance in the U.S. News rankings, it is clear that Le Moyne is a college on the rise,” said President Fred Pestello, Ph.D. “The commitment to our Jesuit roots, coupled with the ability to connect deeply with students in so many ways, delivers a powerful values-based academic experience to which everyone on campus contributes.”
