Nursing

Honor Society

The Le Moyne Honor Society of Nursing was established in April 2007 to recognize undergraduate and graduate students who have demonstrated both high academic achievement and potential for leadership in the profession of nursing.  An annual ceremony is held in May to induct those qualified into this prestigious organization.

Undergraduate students are considered for induction if they meet the following criteria:

  • have completed 1/2 of the bachelor's nursing curriculum (12 credits of courses with an NSG prefix), transfer courses do not count toward total credits
  • have at least a GPA of 3.0
  • rank in the upper 35% of the class (class is defined by the first 2 bullets)
  • meet the expectation of leadership and academic integrity

Graduate students are considered for induction if they meet the following criteria:

  • have completed 1/4 of the nursing curriculum (10 credits of course work), transfer courses do not count toward total credits
  • have at least a GPA of 3.5
  • meet the expectations of leadership and academic integrity
