The Native Americans into Medicine program is for Native American students who are pursuing an education that will enable them to become health professionals. The aim of this program is to provide promising students with experience and support to help them become more informed, better prepared, and more competitive as they move toward their health professions goal. This year’s program will take place on the University of Minnesota- Duluth Campus from June 18th – July 27th. Topics will include: hands-on activities and discussions with health professionals, physical diagnosis labs, tours of local medical centers, math and science coursework resembling health professions schools’ content, and assistance with academic planning for medical or other health professions school. Those eligible include Native American & disadvantaged undergraduate student with a minimum of 2.5 GPA and interest in health professions. Student housing is available if needed.Science
