The Physician Assistant Studies program is a full-time program, and all physician assistant studies students must be matriculated into the program before classes begin. The Department of Physician Assistant Studies registers all first-year students for their first semester of coursework. If there are any questions, please contact the Department of Physician Assistant Studies at (315) 445-4745.
Advanced Standing
The Physician Assistant Studies program does not grant advanced placement, give credit for, or accept transfer of credit for PA courses. Previous health care experience is required, but no course credit is granted for that experience.

Opportunities for Nursing Students
Graduate nursing program candidates for the nurse administration and nurse education tracks may take as many as three courses (nine credits) as a non-matriculated student. A fourth course will not be permitted until matriculation is awarded. Therefore, a graduate nursing program candidate should fulfill all matriculation requirements before registering for a fourth course.
New Students
Graduate nursing students registering for the first time must do so through the Department of Nursing in Coyne Science Center, Room 217. Before registering for courses, students must schedule an advising appointment. They must bring to the appointments their undergraduate transcript (official or unofficial) showing an earned bachelor's degree. Course selection will be discussed and course waivers will be granted, if applicable.
Please contact the Department of Nursing at (315) 445-5435 as soon as possible to schedule an advising/registration appointment.
