Applicants are selected by the Office of Admission and AHANA staff and are required to complete a personal interview, submit a writing sample, and complete a financial review process.  **2023-2024 applicants will NOT be required to submit SAT/ACT test scores to be considered for admission to the AHANA program.**

The applicants that qualify for the AHANA program:

  • Demonstrate academic need, but do not meet the academic criteria for regular admission into Le Moyne
  •  NYS residents who are not eligible for HEOP consideration because they exceed the economic guidelines issued by New York State Education Department
  • Non-NYS residents who meet all other criteria for AHANA admission
  • Identify as one or more of the listed groups that have been historically underrepresented in higher education (African American, Hispanic, Asian, or Native American)

The following chart outlines some objective criteria that students accepted into both the HEOP and AHANA programs generally meet:
