Where Music Can Take You

When three dozen students from Le Moyne’s Music Club went to New York City recently to catch a Broadway show, they caught the cast, too. Before the show, that is. For a chat.

The show was First Date. Among the cast were its stars, Zachary Levi (of Chuck fame) and Krysta Rodriguez (of Smash).

The intimate meeting was arranged by Jocelyn Rauch, the assistant director of music and director of both singers and chamber singers at Le Moyne.

A good friend of Rauch was the musical director for First Date. Three Le Moyne alums who now live in the city helped with arrangements too.

For an experience that one member of the Music Club called “awesome and so much fun,” a few well-placed connections can take you behind some closed doors.
