Identification Cards
All students will be issued an ID ("Dolphin Card") through the Student Development Office. All students must carry their ID cards with them at all times and present them to College personnel upon request. Loss of an ID card should be reported to the Student Development Office. There is a $5 replacement fee. Students found responsible for any fraudulent use of a College ID card will be subject to disciplinary action and fined.
Temporary Cards
The Security office will issue temporary cards after hours and on the weekends. Temporary cards are just that, temporary. They are only issued for one or two days. If the student's most recent card can not be found after that time the student can obtain a new ID card from the Student Development Office at a cost of $5.
Lockers
A limited number of lockers are available for commuter students on the 2nd floor of the Campus Center. In the event of a fire, or other emergency, the College may find it necessary to open these lockers. Students must empty their lockers at the conclusion of each academic year.
Rev. N. James Polney Social and Recreational Loan Fund
The Rev. N. James Polney, a retired United Methodist minister, established this loan fund in 1961 for the exclusive use of Le Moyne students who find themselves temporarily short of spending money for social and recreational purposes. The fund is administered by the Vice President for Student Development. The rules established for the use of this fund are available in the Student Development Office.
Posting Notices and Posters
Flyers/posters must be submitted to the Student Development Office for posting throughout campus. Flyers must clearly state the organization sponsoring an event and other pertinent information including the date, time, place and admission charge. Only flyers and posters that publicize events sponsored by faculty, staff or students at Le Moyne College are allowed. Posters and notices must not include any references to the sale and/or distribution of alcoholic beverages. Notices or posters will only be posted on bulletin boards in administration or classroom buildings.
Flyers/posters for the residence halls must be submitted to the Residence Life Office. RDs are responsible for approving and posting flyers/posters for his/her individual building.
Posters may be hung on the first floor of the Campus Center. Publicity must be approved by the Student Development Office. Anything hung on the outside of buildings must be approved by the physical plant director. Approval of posters and authorization to post notices on bulletin boards should be obtained from the Student Development Office. All unauthorized, outdated or improperly affixed notices and posters will be removed, and the sponsoring organizations will be subject to penalty or fines. Persons posting notices and posters are responsible for their removal when they are outdated.
Vans
The Student Development office has three vans that staff and students can use for transportation to and from events. There is small usage fee of based on milage. Gas is provided. Only Le Moyne students, faculty or staff are allowed in the vans.
Students who wish to drive the van must first complete the NYS 6 hour defensive driving safety course or have taken Driver's Education in High School before they are allowed to drive a van. Student drivers are only allowed to drive a van within a 50 mile radius of the college unless accompanied by a faculty or staff member. Faculty and staff are automatically eligible to drive college vans. For more information about vans, contact the student development office at 445-4525.
Scheduling a Van
Vans can be reserved by students, faculty and staff for college functions. To check availability call 445-4525. After scheduling a van, you will need to stop by the Student Development office and fill out a van reservation form. Make sure you have a department account number and the name of either a registered student driver (one who has completed the NYS 6 hour defensive driving safety course or has completed Drivers Education in high school), or a the name of a faculty of staff member who will be driving.
