First-year students attend a Summer Welcome Day session of their choice with their parents– we will offer three sessions during June, so please choose the date that works best for you. During that visit to campus, students and parents will have an opportunity to learn more about Le Moyne and its resources, and get important information resolved for the Fall semester, including your tentative fall course schedule.
You will also be prompted to tell us the guests who will attend Summer Welcome with you, such as a parent or guardian. Since we will have a full day of parent programming to accompany our student programming, we encourage you to bring a family member with you so that you all know what to expect in your First-year Experience at Le Moyne.
We expect that all members of the incoming class will attend a Summer Welcome Day. While mandatory, we realize that for varying reasons, some students may be unable to attend due to significant time conflicts or distance. If so, please contact the Office for Academic Advising and Support at 315.445.4597 to make alternate arrangements.
Le Moyne’s Fall Arrival
is the culmination of Le Moyne’s summer orientation for all new first-year residential and commuter students
. It is required of all members of the incoming class and consists of three days
of opportunities for the Class of 2019 to get to know each other better – and get to know us – before returning students arrive on Sunday.
This year’s Fall Arrival will take place on Friday, August 28 – Sunday, August 30.
Friday’s activities will begin with move-in for residential students in the morning.
Commuting students and their families will attend a special welcome session on Friday morning as well. These activities will be followed by the President’s Picnic and New Student Convocation before families depart on Friday. Organized Friday evening, Saturday, and Sunday activities for the Class of 2019 will focus on all aspects of life at Le Moyne so that you will be fully prepared to begin college life.
As with Summer Welcome, you will be guided through Fall Arrival by upper division Orientation Leaders – only this time, you’ll see many more OLs on campus, moving you in and helping you find your way. It’s a fun and energetic beginning to your Le Moyne experience! As you know, the OLs will be your GO-TOs for any questions you have during Fall Arrival. They love being a part of Le Moyne, and they want you to feel that way, too.
Every evening, the OCs have planned a variety of great social events that will appeal to everyone. These may range from game shows, performances and movies to fun athletic competitions and local trivia. The goal of each evening activity is to give you time to relax and get to know your classmates and floormates. Classes will begin on Monday, August 25.
Watch for detailed information this summer to give you and your family the specifics of your Fall Arrival schedule!
