This first annual Middle East symposium brings together scholars from Syracuse University, Colgate, Wayne State University, Brooklyn College and Loyola University Chicago to discuss three important themes: Islamophobia and 9/11, U.S. and Middle East relations, and Contemporary Uprisings in the Middle East.

The program of events is as follows:

Panel 1: 10 - 11:15 a.m.
