  • Le Moyne Makes Movies

In Spring 2015, the student-produced film Business Affairs had its premiere at the Coyne Performing Arts Center. This original film was created over the course of two years. Le Moyne students, under the guidance of several professors, wrote, acted in, filmed, edited, presented, and advertised the movie. It is currently under consideration at numerous film festivals.

Now it is time to start work on a new film—also completely student-created. The goal is to have this second film finished by Spring 2017.

The first step is to choose a screenplay.

Therefore, all currently enrolled Le Moyne students are invited to submit original scripts for consideration.

Acceptable scripts may fit any of the following categories:

    • An original screenplay.

    • A screenplay adaptation from a work of literature in another medium (e.g., book) that is also in

    the public      domain.

    • An original stage play (or an adaptation of a play in the public domain) accompanied by a visual

The winning script will be no longer than 30 pages, in standard screenplay format.

All submissions must be received no later than December 1, 2015.

All submissions must be made electronically through the online submission form below.

Once a script is chosen, all Le Moyne students will be invited to participate in the film’s production. Information about those opportunities will be distributed later this semester.

For more information, please contact Prof. Pat Lawler (, Prof. Bryan Cole (, or Prof. Dan Roche (

Submit your screenplay by December 1, 2015!
