Certificate in Enterprise Data Management

This program provides students with hands-on experience with Oracle and SAP, two industry-leading enterprise and database management systems. The experiential component of the certificate is coupled with theory and applications in systems analysis and design using IBM's computer-aided software engineering (CASE) tool; students may then choose to apply their knowledge by specializing in electronic business, information systems security or accounting information systems. Le Moyne's partnership with the Bank of New York Mellon, part of the IBM Academic Initiative, provides further opportunities for students to apply their enterprise data management knowledge in the context of large-scale and mainframe systems.
The course work:
MIS 375 Applied Systems Analysis 
MIS 455 Managing the Technological Enterprise
MIS 480 Database Management Systems

And one of the following electives:
MIS 465 Electronic Business
MIS 425 Information Systems Security
MIS 350/ACT 350 Accounting Information Systems

Please Note: Depending on their computing background, students initially may be required to complete MIS 201-Intro To Management Information Systems as a part of the certificate.Certificate in Enterprise Data Management

Certificates in Web-based Technology

This program introduces the concepts, techniques and practices of Web-based technologies by focusing on the fundamentals of information systems; the technology of Web design and development; the economics and strategy of electronic commerce; and an elective that allows the student to focus on a topic of particular interest.

MIS 201 Introduction to Management InformationSystems
MIS 325 Programming with Java
MIS 335 Client side Web Application and Development

And one of the following electives:
MIS 395 Multimedia Systems Design
MIS 465 E lectronic Business
