Why is it important to you to participate in music at Le Moyne?
Music has always been a huge part of my life. Both of my parents were musicians, so I grew up in a household where music was encouraged. It really allowed me to express myself in a different way and relieve stress in a manner that I enjoyed and used to better myself.

Why do you think other students, current and future, should participate in music at Le Moyne?
I think participating in the arts makes for a more appreciative and well-rounded person. Having an understanding of the arts allows you to better see they beauty in life.

What is/was your favorite thing about music at Le Moyne?
My favorite thing about music at Le Moyne is the feeling after a great performance. To look back on all the hard work put in and have it culminate to 45 minutes of success is a feeling I'll always be grateful for.

“While participating in music, I've discovered how talented and motivated students at Le Moyne College really are. Everyone wants to learn. I've also learned tons about myself as a musician. The professors, as well as my peers, have helped me discover the different things that I need to work on which has helped me immensely. I think I've come a long way since I was a freshman, and I can't wait to grow even more as a musician.

Why is it important to you to participate in music at Le Moyne?
I have been singing since before I can remember. It's always been such a massive part of my life. I joined chorus in 2nd grade, and from there I never stopped. Throughout high school I had been a part of all of the musicals at my school, as well as my school's select choir. I didn't want this to stop once I got to college. I thoroughly believe that I can't function as well when I'm not involved in some sort of music program. I know that even after I'm graduated, I'll find some kind of chorus to join so I can stay sane.

Why do you think other students, current and future, should participate in music at Le Moyne?
The different people that you run into at the Performing Arts Center are some of the most passionate, humble, and talented artists that you'll ever encounter. Before coming to Le Moyne I didn't think it was heavy in the arts, but that view has completely changed. If you want to leave smiling, refreshed, and happier, definitely get involved. Also, every single one of the groups are super unique and immensely talented in their own ways. You'll make connections like no other and come out with more knowledge than you'd ever expect.

What is/was your favorite thing about music at Le Moyne?

I'm going to start with the professors and staff. They've helped me in so many different ways as a musician, as well as helping me be the best person I can be. I've taken so much wisdom from them that I know I'll incorporate in my future career. I also love the students involved in the music program. As I mentioned above, each and every student is so motivated, as well as humble. It's so nice to have peers that I can learn from. Lastly, I'm going to be biased and talk about my love for Fermata Nowhere. Fermata Nowhere was the very first music group at Le Moyne I got involved with, and ultimately helped me fall in love with music here. Fermata Nowhere really helped me transition into Le Moyne, and I've loved being a part of it.
My career at Le Moyne would be insanely different without music being a part of it. I've grown, learned, and ultimately become a better person because of my involvement in the program. I wouldn't trade my experience for anything.

The arts are stress-free. It’s a creative outlet. It invites you to express yourself in a different way. There are no wrong answers, there are no judgments, and no one is grading you. The arts welcome you. You just have to say hi.

What is/was your favorite part about music at Le Moyne?
Music is a universal language, so even those that aren't fluent understand it. My very favorite part is the connection I have with the audience. I love when I’m singing or performing and I get on one accord with the audience and become so connected that I can't tell who's emotion is stronger...mine or the audience. For a while, we understand each other. That is my favorite part.
