Jamey Graham specializes in renaissance literature and philosophy.  She has taught courses on Shakespeare, early modern political and scientific revolutions, medieval and renaissance mysticism, the history of the self, gender and sexuality, the history of marriage, and English composition.  Her work appears in English Literary Renaissance and elsewhere; her major project is the completion of a book titled How Character Became Literary: Virtue and Example in Early Modern Poetics, which explores the history of the idea of literary character.  She holds an A.B. in Physics and a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Harvard University.
