Ms. Facciponte is a graduate of New York University. She holds a Master of Arts degree in Dance Education through the Arts and a Master’s degree in Elementary Education. In addition, she also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children with a Dance emphasis. Linda holds two permanent New York certifications: dance education (K-12) and elementary education (Nursery-6). At SUNY Brockport, Linda studied with Garth Fagan, director of the “Bucket” dance company and choreographer of the Broadway musical, “Lion King.” She has studied extensively in the following techniques: Cunningham, Horton, Taylor, Graham, and Limon. Linda has been recognized by the New York State School for Arts as a leader and driving force in dance education in New York State. She has developed and taught dance programs in New Orleans LA, Jacksonville FL, and Rochester, Syracuse, and New York NY. In addition to being the Artistic Director and Founder of The Dance Arts Studio, Syracuse NY, Linda was a dance teaching artist with the Institute for Aesthetic Education for 10 years, dance director at “Summer Fame,” and choreographer for numerous productions for the Gifford Family Theater.
Ms. Facciponte’s high standards and nurturing spirit are the driving forces that places personal growth and spiritual wellness above all else, as well as, in all of her endeavors.
