Shannon Sweeney received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Syracuse University and completed her clinical internship at SUNY Upstate Medical University. She teaches Introductory Psychology and Abnormal/Normal Psychology and enjoys actively mentoring her students. Her research has examined how relational and social contexts impact health behaviors, most recently focusing on how stigma affects treatment adherence in HIV-positive populations.
