    Le Moyne Ranked by U.S. News for 24th Consecutive Year; Recognized in "Great Schools, Great Pricing" and Veteran Categories

    Le Moyne College was recognized in several categories in the 2016 series of rankings released by U.S. News & World Report this morning. In the "Best Colleges" ranking, Le Moyne remained in the top 20 in the North Regional Universities category, placing #19 on the list (tied with Gallaudet and Rowan). Colleges are ranked based on a variety of factors, including peer assessment; graduation and retention rates; faculty resources; student selectivity; financial resources; and alumni giving.

    This is the 24th consecutive year that the College has been ranked in the popular guidebook. Le Moyne was included on several other lists compiled by the publication (Note that all these listings are within the “Regional Universities North” classification):

    · Tied for #14 ranking in the “Best College for Veterans” category;

    · A #7 ranking in the “Great Schools, Great Prices” listing;

    · Tied for #20 on the listing of institutions with highest retention rate at 86%

    "Our performance over the years in the U.S. News & World Report rankings serves to reinforce the overall excellence of a Le Moyne education," said President Linda LeMura.

    The publication designates schools in four major categories – national universities, national liberal arts colleges, regional universities and regional colleges. Le Moyne and other institutions in the regional universities category provide a full range of undergraduate majors and master’s programs, but unlike national universities, offer few, if any, doctoral programs.
