    Le Moyne Graduate Kwasi Yaboah

    2016 Commencement Broadcast Now On-line

    Le Moyne College held its 66th undergraduate commencement ceremony on Sunday, May 22 at the Thomas J. Niland Jr. Athletic Complex on the Le Moyne campus. Approximately 635 students were eligible to receive either a B.A. or B.S. at the ceremony.

    The commencement speaker was Jeanette Epps, who graduated from Le Moyne in 1992. Dr. Epps entered the NASA astronaut program in 2009 and recently learned she will traveling to the International Space Station in 2018.

    At the ceremony, Dr. Epps receive an honorary degree, along with three others individuals:

    John K. Purcell ’65, senior advisor & board member of Lightower Fiber Networks, and his wife, Katherine M. Purcell ‘66, program administrator in the Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center;

    Ahmad El-Hindi, chief executive officer of Filtertech, Inc., Manlius, N.Y.

    The student speaker was Kwasi Yaboah, a political science major with a minor in philosophy, who is from Peekskill, N.Y.
