J. Christopher Zimmer

Title:  Assistant Professor

J. Christopher Zimmer earned his B.S. degree in psychology and M.S. in information systems from Middle Tennessee State University. He is currently working toward his Ph.D. in the Department of Management at  Clemson University. He was a Database Administrator and a Programmer in charge of system security for five years in the pharmaceutical industry. His current research interests include information sourcing, knowledge management, and individual differences in information technology (IT). He has presented his research at national and international conferences, and his work has appeared in the Journal of Management Information Systems.

He has taught intermediate statistics and introduction to information systems at Clemson University and has earned two teaching awards. His typical approach to teaching is to highlight the relevance of the course material to what students will see when they are in industry.

In his personal life Zim enjoys driving new places, kayaking, and playing ultimate Frisbee. He's especially happy when he can combine all three into a long weekend adventure.
