Graduate school Info: Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Ph.D. program at the University of Rochester School of Medicine

Long-term Plans: "Ultimately, I would like to be doing scientific research in my field. I do not know if I will end up in industry or in academia, but I I do know that I want research to be part of whatever I end up doing."

How Did Le Moyne Prepare You: "Le Moyne prepared me by providing opportunities for me to gain research experience, as well as presentation experience both at Le Moyne and at professional conferences. Furthermore, the nature of Le Moyne being a small school has allowed me to gain personal relationships with several professors, all of whom advised me during the application process."

How Did Your Time at Le Moyne Shape You: "My experience at Le Moyne has shaped my interest in what I want to do. Research was not my original intention when studying science. In fact, I wanted to go to medical school to be an M.D. But the experiences in my classes, the professors who "clicked" with me, and the job opportunities I was able to find through the school led me to where I am going now."

Thing You'll Miss Most about Le Moyne: "I will mostly miss the people. I really have come to make great friends and build great relationships with professors and I will miss having all of those people near me. I will also miss the short walking distance to anything on the campus."

Advice for Future 'Phins:"Get to know your professors and your advisor. They will be some of the most important people in helping you decide what you want to do with your life and, more importantly, how to do it. If you're interested in research, start looking for opportunities as early as you can."
