MANUSCRIPT GUIDELINES: READINGS BOOKS The Readings Book
will be published by photographic reproduction using fine,
white paper, size 8.5" by 11." You must use WordPerfect
(5.1 or later; 6.0 preferred) (DOS or Windows; NO APPLE)
or Microsoft Word and a laser printer. Please send one copy of your paper
protected by two pieces of cardboard and a computer diskette (3.5")
containing your file. On the disk, write the paper title, authors, and
track for which it was accepted. On the outside of the envelope, indicate
that a computer disk is enclosed as well as the track for which the paper
was accepted. Note that the computer disks will not be returned. It is
essential that you comply with these instructions because we print from
disk. Papers which fail to meet the specifications will be returned to
the author and risk not being published.
Before any typing is done, you need to format the paper in the following manner. The following information gives precise instructions.
Times New Roman (Scalable)Point Size: 10 This is an example of the font used for publication of your paper. Please adhere to the instructions when formatting your paper and producing your hard copy.
All paragraphs should be indented with a tab of five (5) spaces. You must leave a space after each paragraph. Set your margins as follows:
Single space the body
of the paper. Double space before and after first-level and second-level
headings. Triple space between the title and before and after the author's
name.
Do not type in page numbers; lightly pencil in the numbers on the back of each page.
The title should be in all
capital letters, bold-faced, and centered at the top of the first

The author(s) and affiliation(s) should be centered, bold-faced, and single-spaced beginning on the third line below the title. Do not use titles such as Dr. or Assistant Professor, etc. The size of the name(s) should be "LARGE" (This is a font size of 12). For Example:
David L. Moore, Le Moyne College If you have more than one author and all authors have the same affiliation, use the following format:
Begin the paper with an abstract
of approximately 100 words. The word ABSTRACT should be typed in all capital
letters, bold-faced, and centered on the third line following the author(s)
and affiliation(s). The size of the heading should be "VERY LARGE"
(This is a font size of 15). The text of the abstract should be in "ITALICS."
First-level headings should be centered, bold-faced and in all capital letters. The size of the first-level headings is "VERY LARGE" (This is a font size of 15). For example:
Second-level headings should be flush with the left margin, bold-faced, and in upper and lower case. The size of second-level headings is "LARGE" (This is a font size of 12). For example: Second-Level Headings Are Large
Curriculum is undoubtedly one of the most scrutinized elements of business education today. Recent initiatives by AACSB have created the need for business schools to assess their course offerings. Topics such as globalization and business ethics have surged to the forefront in the curriculum revision process, but there is no clear consensus regarding the way such topics should be integrated within a business program.
Tables, figures, and graphs
should be typed as close as possible to the location where they are cited.
Headings should be centered, bold-faced, and in all capital letters above
the table or figure. ALL TABLES MUST BE IN BOXES and use Times
New Roman 10 point font. The size of the heading for each table
or graph should be "LARGE" (This is a font size of 12). For

Footnotes will not be used. References will appear at the end of the paper.
All references within the text
should be handled with the use of the last name and year of publication.
For example: Kurtz (1999) discussed the role of ............
All equations should be placed on separate lines and numbered consecutively, with the equation numbers placed in parentheses and aligned against the left margin.
Since the bibliography should
include only those references cited in the text of the paper, this first-
level heading should be titled REFERENCES. REFERENCES should be centered
in all capitals above the list of references. The size of the heading
is "Very Large" (This is a font size of 15). References should
be listed in alphabetical order and appear at the end of the paper. Titles
of journals and books should be in italics, NOT UNDERLINED. For example:
Childress, Robert L., Mathematics
for Managerial Decisions (Englewood Cliffs, NJ: Prentice-Hall, Inc.,
1974).
REFERENCES MUST BE INCLUDED; DO NOT TYPE AT THE END OF YOUR PAPER THAT "REFERENCES ARE AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST."
Appendices should immediately follow the body of the paper and precede the references. The term, APPENDIX, should be formatted as below: APPENDIX centered in all capitals above
the appended material. The size of the term, APPENDIX, should be "VERY
LARGE" (This is a font size of 15). If there is more than one appendix,
they should be numbered consecutively.
