The Economics faculty at Le Moyne College are committed to high-quality undergraduate instruction and scholarship. The study of economics is useful in providing insights into how the world works. It teaches students a way of thinking, which when combined with training in qualitative and quantitative reasoning, and good judgment, provides an excellent foundation for a wide range of careers in government, private, and nonprofit sectors and for graduate studies in economics, business, and law, among others. We offer two programs, a BS in Economics via the Management Division and a BA in Economics via the Division of Arts & Sciences. The programs integrate economic theory, research methods, applied economics, writing, and effective use of computer technology to prepare students in addressing the problems of the 21st century global economy. Undergraduates receive excellent advising, benefit from an economics club, and are eligible for Omicron Delta Epsilon (an Honors society) and awards for academic distinction.
