Pi Delta Phi, the National French Honor Society, recognizes outstanding scholarship in the French language and its literature, increases the knowledge and appreciation of Americans for the cultural contributions of the French-speaking world, and aims to stimulate and encourage French cultural activities.

Nu Pi, the Le Moyne College Chapter of Pi Delta Phi, was chartered on April 13, 2005.

Membership in the society's Le Moyne College chapter is based on the following criteria:

• having completed at least three college-level semester courses in French, of which one course is at the 300 level or above

• having earned a grade point average of 3.0 in the three French courses, with no pass/fail option and no grade lower than B-

• rank in the top 35% of your class

Application for the spring induction is due January 31.
