An alternative to graduate school or employment immediately following graduation is volunteer work through one of thousands of service organizations around the world. A great resource of program information is Connections, an online directory of faith based volunteer opportunities. It contains information on over 100 programs that need volunteers to work in education, community outreach, advocacy, construction, ministries for the homeless, elderly, sick and poor.
