Awards to Graduates in Chemistry or Biochemistry

The department grants two awards to graduating students majoring in chemistry or biochemistry.

  • The American Institute of Chemists Student Medal Award is awarded to the senior with the highest achievement in all chemistry courses and who gives promise of success in the field of chemistry.
    2007 recipient: Jennifer A. Dabrowski
  • The Brine Medal in Chemistry or Biochemistry is awarded to a senior for general excellence in Chemistry or Biochemistry.
    2007 recipient: Shanah A. Mastro
