Preparation for Le Moyne's 58th Commencement is underway! I want to share with you some important information regarding the schedule of activities to assist your planning for this special event.
In May you will receive a survey from the Career Services Office. I request that you accurately fill out this survey, as it is an important tool in processing information on our alumni. All information will be kept confidential. The survey must be turned in at the Bookstore in order for you to pick up your cap and gown. Thank you for your assistance with this very worthwhile endeavor.
Le Moyne's 2008 Commencement speaker will be Congressman James Walsh. Congressman Walsh has represented the 25th Congressional district (which stretches from Syracuse to Rochester) for 10 terms, before announcing earlier this year that he will not seek re-election this fall. He is a longtime member of the House Appropriations Committee and also serves as co-chair of the Ad-Hoc Committee on Ireland and is past chair of the Friends of Ireland. Prior to embarking on a career in politics, he served in the Peace Corps following graduation from St. Bonaventure University.
We look forward to his participation in this special ceremony.
