RealClimate: A climate blog maintained by REAL scientists. See what they are saying.
Nature: daily science news are posted on the website for this British weekly science journal
Science: the American Association for the Advancement of Science also publishes a weekly science journal and maintains a Web site with daily news postings
Science Daily is a private commercial science news site with daily updates
National Geographic: news on science and the environment
Environmental News Network: a private commercial site for general environmental news
Global Warming Action Sites
Tufts University Climate Initiative: this is an impressive site with lots of good ideas and links
Focus the Nation: A nation-wide teach-in for global warming being organized for next January
New York Interfaith Power and Light: A terrific grass-roots faith-based initiative to fight global warming
Other Resources for Educators
NOAA Climate Program Office: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration maintains a site that has lots of useful information for teachers, including educational information on climate in general, hurricanes, tornadoes. They also have travel and workshop opportunities, such as arctic cruises.
