International Honor Society in Social Science

WHAT IS PI GAMMA MU?

It is the oldest, the largest, and the most significant of the honor societies broadly concerned with the social sciences.

WHO CAN JOIN PI GAMMA MU?

An individual may be invited or may petition to join an active chapter of Pi Gamma Mu when he/she is or was a junior, senior or graduate student in the upper 35 percent of the class, with at least 20 semester hours in social science with an average grade therein of "B" or better.

SCHOLARSHIPS:

Pi Gamma Mu awards ten scholarships annually to its members.

Scholarships are granted primarily for the first year of graduate study in social science areas.

PUBLICATIONS:

INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL SCIENCE REVIEW is a juried social science interdisciplinary journal.

PI GAMMA MU NEWSLETTER reaches new members six times a year. It contains pictures and news of the programs and activities of the Society and its chapters
