Occupational Health and Safety Programs
Le Moyne College is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment. Health and Safety Programs has been developed according to OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations.
Hazard Communication
The OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (29 CFR 1910.1200) provides information regarding the maintenance and disposal of chemicals. Employees are trained about the hazards of materials that they work with or could be exposed to. MSDS (material safety data sheets) are available to all students and employees.
Confined Space
The OSHA Confined Space Standard (29 CFR 1910.146) provides information regarding protection of workers from hazards encountered when entering confines spaces.
Bloodborn Pathogen Exposure Control Program
The OSHA Bloodborn Pathogen Exposure Control Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030) provides workers with information on bloodborn pathogens encountered during contact with blood or other bodily fluids.
