Applying for HEOPStudents apply for HEOP by completing their regular application for admission. They should indicate on the application their interest in being considered for HEOP. It is important that students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) early to enable the College to determine their economic eligibility for HEOP. Each application is reviewed thoroughly by the Office of Admission and the HEOP staff. Students who meet the educational and economic qualifications are then required to have a personal interview. Although it is preferable that the student be interviewed while visiting the campus, arrangements can be made to accommodate applicants who cannot come to Le Moyne for an interview.
COMPLETING THE APPLICATION In order for a student to receive an admission decision, the student must complete the following:
HEOP is limited to New York State residents who have been "educationally" and "economically" disadvantaged. A complete explanation of the program eligibility can be found here. TRANSFER STUDENTS To transfer into HEOP at Le Moyne, students must have been in a special program (HEOP, EOP, SEEK, etc.) at their previous institution. Verification of status is required before final acceptance into Le Moyne's program. Each applicant must also complete the regular Le Moyne transfer application.
