SUBJECT: EXCUSED ABSENCE/TARDINESS
POLICY STATEMENT:
Recognizing the necessity for employee absence from work, the College has established allowable absences for both planned and unexpected circumstances. Excused absences are established in order to provide for employee needs while maintaining effective operations of the College.
IMPLEMENTATION:
1. Every absence and the reason for the absence must be reported to department heads/supervisors in a timely manner (See Policy #401).
2. Department heads/supervisors will authorize pay in the event of an excused absence for eligible employees in accordance with the appropriate policy.

a. Sick Leave See Policy #521
b. Leave of Absence See Policy #519
c. Military Leave See Policy #515
d. Bereavement Leave See Policy #501
e. Jury Duty See Policy #411
