Welcome to the Office of Human Resources

Summer hours and the extended Christmas holiday schedule are considered benefit enhancements and are approved on a year-to-year basis. We are pleased to inform you that John Smarrelli, Jr., Interim President, has approved both summer hours and the extended Christmas holiday schedule for calendar year 2008.

The summer hours schedule and the holiday schedule may be viewed on-line at: http://www.lemoyne.edu/human_resources/summer.htm and http://www.lemoyne.edu/human_resources/holiday.htm

Le Moyne College will adopt a "business casual dress code" for the summer months. Each department will individually determine if they will participate with the "business casual dress code". A department’s determination to participate is based on the department’s interaction with students, prospective students, families and other important College events.

Business casual wear is sharp, neat and clean. If employees look like they are ready for the gym or beach, they are not dressed appropriately for work. Departments may develop their own definition of what is appropriate for their level of customer contact for specific days/events following the guidelines below:

  • Women: capris/long shorts are acceptable if they are “tailored” and of a dress pant material (not denim or heavy cotton) or a tennis shirt and trousers.Shoes like pumps and business sandals not flip flops.Other shorts and denim jeans are not acceptable.
  • Men: a combination of collared shirt (perhaps a tennis shirt instead of a dress shirt) and cotton trousers (such as khakis), shoes such as loafers or toe-covered sandals is generally acceptable. Shorts and denim jeans are not acceptable.
  • If you have questions about this policy, please consult your immediate supervisor or contact the Office of Human Resources
