Information Technology Academic Initiatives Support

Information Technology and the Academic Technology Advisory Committee are pleased to announce the availability of “in-kind” support available for faculty and departmental projects. These projects should require innovative use of technology in teaching and/or scholarship. This new initiative will provide Information Technology dedicated professional and student staff services and other “in-kind” support for accepted proposals. IT will create teams of professional and student employees to assist faculty in developing new ways of enhancing teaching and scholarship using various forms of educational technologies.

The goals of this new initiative are to:

  1. Make better use of academic technologies available to faculty at the College
  2. Develop and introduce new academic technologies to improve teaching, learning and research at Le Moyne

Faculty receiving support for their projects may be asked to present their project or discuss their results and experiences with the ATAC Committee and others at Le Moyne.

All proposals will be reviewed by the Information Technology Advisory Committee to determine acceptability on a rolling basis. Final approval will be determined by Inforamtion Technology based on the availability of staffing during any given semester. Please note that this support is in addition to any other support provided for academic initiatives by other sources (ie. Faculty Senate Research and Development Committee, Vice Presidents Office, etc.). For larger scope projects, or for those that require funding, faculty should also contact the R & D Committee.
