Cool Tools for School is sponsored by the Academic Tecnology Advisory Committee
(ATAC) and Information Technology. Workshops are designed to showcase the
use of new technologies or new uses for existing technologies by Le Moyne
faculty and staff and how to make use of them in the classroom.
Want to liven up your lectures? Want your students to be more engaged in
your classes? Want to better gauge how well students are digesting the materials
that you are teaching in "real time"? Read on to learn more on
how you might accomplish this!
For our inaugural session of “Cool Tools” we will be showcasing Personal
Response Systems or “clickers” in the classroom. Le Moyne invested in 60
clickers in the spring of 2007 and several faculty have dabbled with their
use in classes over the course of the fall semester. Come see how Le Moyne
faculty and staff have used the clickers to engage students and conference
participants alike using these tools. In addition to seeing how they were
used, learn how you can apply these same tools in your own classroom!
