E-mail is considered an official method of communication at Le Moyne College because it delivers information in a convenient, timely, cost effective, and environmentally aware manner. This Policy does not represent a change from current practice. However, it does ensure that all students have access to this important form of communication. Furthermore, it ensures that students can be accessed through a standardized channel by instructors and other staff of the College as needed.
As all students currently have a Le Moyne College email account, the College may send official communications to students via e-mail. Students are expected to check their Le Moyne College official e-mail on a frequent and consistent basis in order to remain informed of College-related communications. Students are responsible for the consequences of not reading in a timely fashion College-related communications sent to their official Le Moyne College student e-mail account.
