There are approximately 80 part-time Student Assistant positions available in the Library for Le Moyne College undergraduate students. Since these positions are quickly filled, usually by the end of the second week of classes, it is necessary for interested students to come to the Library and fill out an application, or complete an on-line application by clicking on the online form link below, as soon as possible. If you come to the Library to complete an application, then bring with you your course schedule and work authorization letter from the Fiancial Aid Office, and see the Assistant to the Director of the Library in the Administration Department.

The Library is especially interested in students that are computer literate, both hardware and software. The Media Services Department of the Library especially needs students that have successfully completed MAT 111 and/or MAT 112, Introduction to Statistical Methods.

Supervisors will review applications, and if a student’s availability to work matches the needs of a department the student will then be contacted for an interview. At the end of the interview the Supervisor will tell the student whether or not they qualify for the position. This does not mean that the student may begin to work. The student will be contacted by a departmental Supervisor if and when they may begin to work. Please note:

    • Filling out an application does not guarantee students employment in the Library.

    • It is a requirement that the Library give work study eligible students hiring priority since those students can demonstrate a greater financial need for work. Work study eligible students must be issued a work authorization letter from Financial Aid before they may begin to work for the Library.

Le Moyne College is an equal employment opportunity employer with an active EEO/AA policy and a strong commitment to racial, cultural, and ethnic diversity. Therefore, the College actively seeks and encourages nominations and applications from women, persons of color, and Jesuits.
