Description:	Full text information on 192 countries. CountryWatch Data that offers 8 years of statistical data for 191 countries providing macroeconomic, economic sector and cultural-demographic data in an online SQL-database which facilitates user queries for specific data series, years and countries and which allows for convenient cross country comparisons and GIS mapping. Each of the 250 variables is searchable through 5 categories and 24 subcategories. CountryWatch Business Services complements CountryReviewsTM with more than 100 edited links to best-of-the-web sources of information on 192 countries and their economies. The Business Services component provides access to County Regulations through commercial guides provided by the US Department of State. CountryWatch@School complements CountryReviewsTM with curriculum materials including lesson plans and course outlines for using CountryWatch in geography and social studies courses. Enhancements include expanding the offerings in the Curriculum Corner and adding an entirely new section called “Issues in Education” referencing challenges and opportunities facing educators today. A new Global News Highlights service every Monday features the top ten international news stories from the previous week CountryWatch Standard Service combines two files, Country Reviews and Country Wire. Country Reviews provide economic and political surveys of 192 countries, updated continuously. For each country, the flag, key data, largest cities, people, history, agriculture, economy, energy, metals, environment, ethnic divisions, and religions are included. Each country overview presents a regional map, country map, local time, average daily temperature, currency conversion and population. Lengthy chapters include: Political Overviews, Economic Overviews, Corporate Overviews, and Environmental Trends. Country Wire is an on-line information update from 12 respected international news organizations, which provide political economic, corporate, and environmental news on a country-by-country basis, as it occurs. News headlines from each country are current for each day and directly linked to the source. Links to the country stock exchange, local newspapers, a news archive and WorldWire archive are included.
