Curriculum - Master of Science

The Master of Science curriculum consists of three parts: core, specialty focus, and a functional role of nurse educator or nurse administrator.

Core courses of 12 credits satisfy the content areas of ethics, human diversity and social issues, health care delivery, and research. The specialty focus includes a 12-credit concentration in adult health and illness. The centerpiece of the curriculum consists of two functional role tracks of 15 credits each. Each track includes courses to prepare students to assume primary leadership roles as either nurse educators or nurse administrators. The selected elective for the educator track allows the student to choose from a number of graduate courses offered by the Department of Education at Le Moyne. The selected elective for the administrator track allows the student to choose from a number of courses offered by the Division of Management. Both tracks require a capstone scholarly project.

The Master of Science curriculum is designed as a two-year program of study for full-time students and as a three-year program of study for part-time students. Applicants can enroll in either fall or spring and may begin taking classes (up to nine credits) prior to applying to the program or while in the process of completing an application.
