Post-Master’s Certificates
Two post-master’s certificate programs are also offered to accommodate professional nurses who hold a master’s degree in nursing or in a related field. The certificates are offered in nursing education and nursing administration functional role concentrations. The nationwide shortage of registered nurses includes a serious shortfall of leaders prepared at the graduate level in these two functional roles to meet the public’s demand for quality nursing care.
These post-master's certificates are designed for those nurses currently in or seeking a managerial or educational position in a variety of healthcare facilities or schools of nursing and require competency in one of these functional roles. The 12-credit Advanced Certificate Program addresses such needs and the program of study can be completed in one academic year of part-time enrollment.
