Make a Difference!

Since 1969, Projects in the Community (PIC) members have used their talents to put our Jesuit ideals into action. In 2006-2007, 615 students contributed over 2226 service hours at 35 Syracuse agencies. (cf. Annual Report)

P.I.C. members last year:

Donated 3,159 pounds of food to the Interreligious Food Consortium in collaboration with the Le Moyne College Dining Services.

Provided Christmas presents and $400 in food cards for 4 families in our We Need a Little Christmas program.

Participated in the Southern Comfort Hurricane Relief program in conjunction with St. Joseph's Church in Liverpool.

Raised $1082 for Southern Comfort, $360 for the American Heart Association, $400 for Relay for Life and assisted with the CROP Walk.

Served as Big Brothers/Big Sisters, tutors, Red Cross, Rescue Mission and hospital volunteers and worked with the elderly as well as planning several "one-shot" service events.

Worked with the 208 first year students who participated in the D.I.V.E. service event, serving 500 hours at 13 agencies.
