Students, mark Saturday April 19th on your calendar and invite your family and friends to do the same! The Student Research Committee and the office of the Provost and Academic Vice President, Dr. Linda Le Mura are calling for your participation in the 3rd Annual Student Scholars Day celebration of student creative and scholarly activities. We will hold the event on Saturday, April 19th in the James Commons area of the LaCasse Dining Center. This will be a day-long event with refreshments and including lunch.
We would like to showcase student scholars from as broad a representation of disciplines across the college as possible. We encourage departments planning a regular annual showcase to consider combining their plans with this event. Students from various departments who have received funding support from the Student Research Committee and the Provost will be presenting their work, and we invite other students who have done scholarly and creative student-produced work to propose innovative and creative ideas for presentation. We will be producing a program book which will feature the project abstracts and photos of student presenters or of their work (see a sample program at http://www.lemoyne.edu/src/).
We strongly encourage student scholars to invite their families to attend! Representatives from area high schools, alumni, and others will also be invited to join us at this event and experience the excellence of Le Moyne students.
Please complete a ‘Proposal Form’ and return it to Brenda J. Kirby either electronically (preferred; kirbybj@lemoyne.edu) or hard copy (RH220) by Monday, March 17th. Scholars and Mentors will be contacted for scheduling by March 21st. Students may also submit a digital photo or schedule a time to have a photograph taken by the Office of Communications (445-4736) anytime before April 8th. Those who wish not to submit a personal photo may submit a project relevant photo (see the sample program at http://www.lemoyne.edu/src/).
Faculty Mentors please note:
