Le Moyne College

The Celtic peoples, especially the Irish and the Scots and Welsh, have made great cultural contributions to the world at large
in literature, music, dance and many other fields. In recognition of this, and of the great number of Le Moyne College students of
Celtic descent and the strong Irish community in Central New York, we hereby constitute this organization and deciate ourselves
to the celebration and presentation of traditions and education of the issues of the Irish and Celtic peoples and cultures.

The Gaelic Society's purpose is the promotion of the customs and
culture of the Irish people. The Gaelic society attempts, through
various programming activities, to heighten students' understanding
of Ireland-past and present. In cooperation with local Syracuse
Irish groups, the society participates in the St. Patrick's Day
Parade and other community events. Membership is open to
all Le Moyne students.
