The main focus of Le Moyne Information Systems Club (LMISC)
is students that are interested in learning about or being
apart of some aspect of the Information Systems industry.
With students representing all concentrations, the club encourages
across-functional experience. The club brings together those
students interested in sharing contemporary issues in information
systems management and focuses on careers in information systems,
networking with professionals in the field, and using and
developing current technologies. LMISC is dedicated to producing
technically competent graduates. In addition, it strives to
inform its members of the current options available to them
in the computing fields.
WHAT

The MIS Club organizes many events during the school year
and would like your participation in:
Speaker Series: The
club invites corporate speaker and/or academicians to talk
to the students about their position, their company and their
industry.
Site Visits: The
club sponsors trips for those students interested in learning
more about what happens in the day to day workings of a company.
We will set up times to visit the office of an organization,
and to take a tour of the facilities.
Social Events: The
club sponsors a number of social events during the year that
encourage all students from all concentrations to get together.
The club may co- sponsor events with corporations that are
interested in getting to know the students in an informal
atmosphere.
Informing members about
job opportunities and helping with job search: The
club along with faculty and career development center will
create a webpage and/or mailing list to inform its members
about IS/MIS/IT related job opportunities in local area.
Club Meetings: The
club meets twice a month to discuss Club events, as well as
how the members of the club can help to each other, to Le
Moyne College and departments, or local businesses or public.
New Ideas: We
are always open to hearing about new ideas of how we can connect
with the corporate community and help our students and community.

PRESIDENT:
- Must be a full-time LMC student
- Must attend all meetings
- Public figure and main contact
- Scheduling of speakers
- Create agenda
- Coordinate/organize events
- Sign-up members
- Assign replacements
- Meet with faculty advisors regularly
- Create and maintain club policies
VICE PRESIDENT:
- Oversees the completion of all committees duties
- Makes schedule
- Assumes presidential duties upon his/her absence
- Sign-up members
- Assign replacements
TREASURER:
- Keep balance sheet
- Report income and expenses of events
- Maintain budget
- Issue reimbursement
- Handle all accounts
- Responsible for collecting, recording, and depositing
membership dues (if necessary)
SECRETARY:
- Must attend all meetings
- Create Agenda
- Take minutes
- Relay information to members
- Inform school newspaper of special events
WEBMASTER(S):
- Manage LMISC Club home page
- Organize volunteers to assist in Web page maintenance
- Perform regular updates pertaining to meetings, events,
and job opportunities
EVENTS COORDINATOR:
- Schedule events
- Make room reservations
- Setup equipment on event day
- Promote club image
- Contact vendors
- Design club materials
- Coordinate with Career Center & other business organizations
