The Le Moyne College Physician Assistant Student Society (PASS) is asking for your participation in this years 5K Fun Run/Walk to help raise awareness and support the Amaus Health Services at Cathedral and PASS!
Charity Race Details:
When: April 14, 2012
Where: Willow Bay Shelter, Onondaga Lake Park
Time: Registration begins at 9am; Fun Run/Walk begins at 11am.
$20 Registration fee includes T-shirt, food and beverages!
There will be a 50/50 raffle as well as baskets featuring items from some of Syracuse’s finest restaurants and shops. Note: participants are responsible for keeping their own race times.
**In the event of rain, the race will take place the following day (Sunday, April 15th) at the Saw Mill Creek Shelter, Onondaga Lake Park.
Who The Race Benefits:
Amaus Health Services at Cathedral:
Amaus Health Services at the Cathedral is an organization that provides free interim primary care to those who are marginalized from the healthcare system, serving the economically vulnerable & uninsured. They currently work with over 1100 patients, offering regular primary care services, vaccination programs, pediatric services, employment physical exam programs, and advocacy services helping those served to access the care & services they need so they can live healthier & more dignified lives. It is our hope that by providing the Amaus Health Services as Cathedral with the money raised from the race, they will be able to continue to serve the Syracuse population & help those who may have nowhere else to turn.
LeMoyne Physician Assistant Student Society:
In order to maintain its standards of educational excellence, LeMoyne will be sending student representatives to the National PA Conference in Las Vegas, NV this May. Due to the generous donations given in support of the Charity Fun Run, attendance at the national conference is possible.
