RA Selection 2015-2016

Are you looking for a great learning experience?

Would you like to take on a leadership role on campus?

If you answered yes to those questions, then you should apply to be a Resident Advisor for the 2015-2016 academic year!

Information for Prospective Candidates: New candidates for the RA position must submit an application, cover letter, and resume. Applicants must also submit 2 letters of recommendation. Application materials can be found below.

Information for Returning Candidates: Current Resident Advisors who are re-applying for the position must submit an application. These candidates must also prepare a presentation to present to the members of the Campus Life & Leadership professional staff. Application materials can be found below.


Application materials for prospective candidates are due by 5pm on Wednesday, January 21, 2015. There will be two group process interview dates on Satuday, January 24, 2015 from 12-3pm and Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 6-9pm. Prospective candidates will take part in Individual Interviews which will take place during the week of January 26, 2015. Candidates must sign up for an interview slot by visiting the Harrison Area Director's office between Thursday, Janaury 22 and Friday, January 23, 2015. 

Application materials for returning candidates are due by Friday, December 5, 2014. Candidiates must sign up for an interview slot between Monday, January 19 and Tuesday, January 20, 2015 by visiting the Harrison Area Director's office. Presentations will take place between Wednesday, January 21 and Friday, January 23, 2015. 

Decision letters will be sent out via email on Thursday, February 5, 2015. 

RA Information Sessions

Information sessions are a time for prospective candidates to sit down and talk with current Campus Life & Leadership staff about the RA role. If you have questions about what it is like to be a Resident Advisor, this is a great opportunity to get your questions answered. While the information sessions are not a mandatory part of the selection process, we highly encourage prospective candidates to take advantage of this opportunity. Below are a list of dates, times, and locations for information sessions.

Monday, October 20, 2014 from 3-4pm in the Foery Hall Lobby

Wednesday, October 22, 2014 from 4-5pm in the Dablon Hall Lobby

Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 6-7pm in the Harrison Hall Penthouse

Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 7-8pm in the Corcoran Lounge
