Programs for High School Students

The Loyola Institute

Investing in a Catholic education has always been a sure thing, as learning in a faith-filled, academically challenging environment is certain to put a student on the path to success. As a long-time supporter of Catholic education – both on our own campus and throughout the Syracuse Diocese – Le Moyne College has developed a unique program to allow students at Bishop Ludden Junior-Senior High School, Bishop Grimes Junior-Senior High School and Christian Brothers Academy to experience the benefits of a Jesuit education and earn 12 college credits and up to $58,000(2) in college savings, while putting themselves on the fast track to higher education. Institute For Reading Development

The focus of the children’s reading programs, Levels R – 6, is to develop a love of reading.  Skill development that provides for increased fluency and comprehension is also emphasized.  The adult program, Level 7, improves reading efficiency.  To that end, eye-tracking exercises, retention techniques and systematic analytical approaches are taught. Certificate Programs & Evening Degrees

To meet the Center for Continuing Education's goal of offering the opportunity to pursue life-long learning in the Jesuit tradition, the college recognizes that some adult learners can only attend evening classes because of the demands of career, family, and home. These degree programs can be completed in the evening:

Management and Leadership
Creative Writing
Education - Teacher Certification
English Literature
Information Systems
Nursing
Psychology
Sociology
(Concentrations in Human Services or Criminology/Criminal Justice)

You are of course welcome to select a course of study from ANY one of
Le Moyne College's majors. Some day time course work may be required.

Auditing Courses

If you’ve already got a degree and just enjoy learning, why not audit a course? Students who audit courses generally are exempt from assignments and examinations; however, requirements vary depending on the course.  Explore a new discipline or just quench that thirst for knowledge. If you are a Le Moyne College Alumni, please visit our costs page to see the applicable rates for auditing a course.

Certificate Programs

Le Moyne’s certificate programs are designed to help you gain a competitive edge in your field by allowing you to demonstrate expertise in your field. Certificate programs are offered in human resource management, pastoral ministry and information technology. Classes are offered in the evenings and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. until noon to accommodate your work schedule. In addition, you can apply credits earned in a certificate program to a bachelor's degree at Le Moyne and most other colleges and universities.
