NB: Get an overview of a historical topic in encyclopedias, but do not use them as a source in your bibliography! There are several more in the print reference collection, e.g. Dictionary of the Middle Ages, 18 vols., The Oxford Encyc. of Mesoamerican Cultures, 3 vols.
